We now offer the same scientifically-informed and internationally acclaimed 8-week MBSR Professional Development that is provided to members of the United Teachers of Dade by Valerie York Zimmerman of Miami Mindfulness, who is also the founder of Mindful Kids Miami.  Under Valerie’s mentorship, I am a Qualified Teacher-in-Training qualified to train others in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction practices.

How do we nurture a mind that is so open, alive, and intimate that it can take everything as medicine?  Sit quietly facing the wall.  Be aware of your thoughts moment by moment.  Let your discursive, distractive mind be still so that the innate, natural clarity of your deepest mind — the mind with the broadest, widest view, the mind that is not separate from anything — can come forward.

  • Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm for 8 weeks
  • All-Day Retreat Sunday, May 12 from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm

Backed by scientifically-based evidence, MBSR training has been proven to:

  • Teach how to manage and reduce stress

We limit participation to smaller, more private and intimate groups of 10 to 15 participants.  The sessions will be held at The Yoga Warrior Studio,  either Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm or Saturdays, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm for eight (8) consecutive weeks.  The Yoga Warrior Studio is located at 13950 SW 100 Avenue, Miami FL 33176. The cost is $250 for 8 weekly 2 1/2 hour sessions and an all-day retreat.  A one-hour Orientation open to all who are curious and interested will be held the weekend prior to the first class.  The All-Day Retreat is held between Class #6 and #7.

If you decide to participate, please be prepared to commit and dedicate this time to YOUR health, self-care, personal development, and well-being.  Make it a self-imposed requirement.
