What is Yoga?
Do you know?
Or, do you think you know? Really?
Pause a moment. Take a breath. Listen to it! Feel it! Be aware of it.
That’s yoga! That’s awareness. Well, that’s the beginning of yoga. It starts with awareness… awareness of the breath/life/life-force, of your body… of the mind, of your feelings and emotions.
It’s a journey through practices physical, mental, breathing, moving and stillness, and more. A more that continues towards more clarity and enlightened awareness.

Sitting Bull
“Warriors are not what you think of as warriors. The warrior is not someone who fights, because no one has the right to take another life. The warrior, for us, is one who sacrifices himself for the good of others.
His task is to take care of the elderly, the defenseless, those who cannot provide for themselves, and above all, the children, the future of humanity.” – Tȟatȟáŋka Íyotake

Peter Calin, JD, MBA, LLM – Founder of The Yoga Warrior

Yogi Peter Calin’s Personal Journey
In my 50’s a transformation began with the simple intent to ‘re-invent myself.’ Yoga was not, however, the intended medium or horizon. Intuitively, I was drawn in, and an awakening occurred and then healing manifested itself.
I saw before me the subtle, pervasive intuition and intent to journey down a path that would later start the [w]holistic transformation and unification of mind, body and soul and my inner light. The thought and desire had always been there… but in every prior chapter of my life it had been momentarily interrupted by what I later came to realize was my own arrested development.
After I found peace and experienced yoga’s healing power (my stressed mind, my hips, my knees, my back, my prostate), I chose to endeavor to help others find that healing and peace. I do this through a [w]holistic, mindful and therapeutic practice that focuses on awareness and re-alignment of the mind, heart, body and soul/energy, as well as, the reunification of the whole of your being.
